The spirit of the season is coming to your nearest online game, courtesy of Nexon America.

The Korean-based gaming concern will plug Halloween-themed items into some of its products in hopes of providing some holiday cheer — or fear. In the title “Combat Arms,” for example, mercenaries can tote coffin-shaped packs and sickle melee weapons, and acquire pumpkin head masks.

In “Dungeon Fighter Online,” players receive Halloween gifts and candles for helping the character Seria acquire all of her holiday decorations, and on Oct. 31 a drawing will be held for players to win all five DFO figurines.

In “Mabinogi, brain-eating zombies will appear and try to take down the camp flag. And in “MapleStory,” the Haunted House quest returns as a follow-up to a 2007 seasonal story line in which players tried to peel back the mystery of Jonas the Toymaker and his daughter.

The spookiness factor escalates soon, so visit Nexon’s website for more details.
