New deer hunting game released for iPhone, iPod touch
Thanks to Sunstorm Interactive, deer hunting season can last all year, and fit in your pocket.
The Indiana-based software developer, probably best remembered for the PC game “Deer Hunter,” has created a scaled-down hunting app for the iPhone and iPod touch called “Real Deer Hunting” — or at least as real as you can get on a phone — that tries to simulate the skills and encourage the patience needed for taking down a prize buck.
Among the features:
* Weapons such as a shotgun, rifle with scope, or bow.
* Virtual binoculars with variable zoom and range-finder.
* 16 simulated hunt stands in Texas and Indiana settings.
* Ten different trophies and a virtual room to display them.
“Real Deer Hunting” costs just 99 cents for a limited time from the iTunes store. If you want to take a closer look before plunking down the change, visit Sunstorm’s website or watch this “Real Deer Hunting” promo video on YouTube.
