Your trash is a school’s treasure

This past year, St. Louis County has drastically stepped up its efforts in curbside recycling, which is great. But the folks who place those green and yellow recycling bins on the parking lots of schools and churches say recycling there is down 25 percent, which they think is not so great. Especially for schools and churches, which get money for their efforts. Read more about it in today’s metro section.

I still take my recycling to the school. Yes, I want to help the schools. But, for me, it is more of a convenience matter. I can take it there any day, any time. Curbside is on a set schedule, which often doesn’t coincide with my housecleaning schedule.
