Incarnate Word Academy, an all-girls Catholic high school in north St. Louis County, has promoted its principal, Randy Berzon-Mikolas, to the newly-created president position, and is searching for a principal.

The school’s press release said this:

The Board of Trustees has been investigating how to continue to enhance IWA’s position as an elite Catholic, private, secondary school for young women. As a result of the research, IWA has determined that the most effective approach is to implement the President-Principal Administrative Model. Implementing the President-Principal Administrative Model is an important change and exciting development as IWA pursues their long-term goals of high quality education, attracting a broad and diverse student body.

Success in these areas is critical to ensure the achievement of IWA’s mission “to challenge young women of faith to achieve their God-given potential as academically, successful Women of the Word.”

Randy Berzon-Mikolas, Ph.D. has been appointed as President of Incarnate Word Academy, effective July 1, 2009. In her new role, Dr. Randy will be responsible for ensuring that the vision and strategies are communicated and achieved to accomplish the mission. She will report to the Board of Trustees. Dr. Randy, with the support of the Board of Trustees, is immediately initiating the process to identify her replacement. The Principal will report directly to Dr. Randy.

If you are interested, or know of a possible Principal candidate, please contact Dr. Randy at rmikolas@iwacademy.org. The principal position is effective July 1, 2009.
