State official still hoping for quality rating system
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
JEFFERSON CITY – The two state education boards met today to discuss education from preschool to graduate school, and they heard from at least one person who is still hoping for a quality rating system.
Karen Bartz of the Coordinating Board for Early Education told the Coordinating Board for Higher Education and the State Board of Education that a QRS, which has been pretty much killed in the Senate, is an important part of efforts to educate parents about pre-kindergarten.
“The quality rating system is really fundamental,” she said.
Check back later for more updates from the meeting.
