Missouri commissioner of education to be announced Thursday

The Missouri state board of education announced today that it will hold a news conference Thursday morning to introduce the state’s new commissioner of education.
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has asked former commissioners of education, members of the state board and other “special guests” to attend the event.
Former Commissioner of Education D. Kent King died in January after serving nearly nine years as Missouri’s top official for public schools.
