That’s the margin that separated Democratic AG candidates Chris Koster and Margaret Donnelly when the final results came in last night. 345,790 total votes were cast for the Democratic AG candidates.
Koster’s razor-thin margin of victory — 43.3 percent to Donnelly’s 43.0 percent — was the narrowest of any statewide race yesterday.
Other exceptionally close finishes included:
- The Democratic race for State Senate District 15, where James Trout edged Steve Eagleton by 0.4 percent — just 35 votes out of more than 10,000 cast.
- The Democratic race for State Senate District 5, where Robin Wright-Jones defeated Rodney Hubbard by 1 percentage point (111 votes out of 12,281 cast).
- The Republican race for Circuit Judge of Circuit 31 Division 2 was also decided by just 1 percent — David Jones defeated Bob Lawson, Jr. by 233 votes out of 24,203 total cast.
Also worthy of note: Former football star Brock Olivo, up against four other GOP candidates, ended up with 10.1 percent of the Republican vote in the 9th Congressional district. Blaine Luetkemeyer won that GOP race with 39.7 percent.

Why the h#!! is Brock Olivo worthy of note? If anything else is worthy of note here, it’s that Bill Haas won the Democratic primary for the 2nd congressional district. Where’s my cup of coffee, Bill?
