I really don’t think this cartoon is fair. Palin almost perfectly communicated her spirit and vision of America to the country. That was a lot to get done in 90 minutes for someone just arrived on the national scene.
Veteran Biden did great and it will be up to veteran McCain to refute Biden’s charges in the next debate.

Great cartoons!
As for Bill…
Golly Gee Bill, I am worried by anyone who thought “Palin almost perfectly communicated” anything. Likable should never trump knowledgeable! Our democracy is made a joke by the “I’d-like-to-have-a-beer-with-Bush” and “Palin-is-just-like-me” Republicans.
Golly Gee! Mavericks they are not. And, leaders of our great country they will never be.

The left wing bias of Matson is tedious and intolerable. Just once could he give some balance and truth to his scriblings?
Unreal. The dems and Obama do no wrong. How about some Ayers or Wright references?…not so much Matson, my little Daily Kos weenie.

Is there a good reason the Post-Dispatch leans left, left, left all the time?
The Platform is where you can take a stand on any issue. You can agree with or fire back at Post-Dispatch opinions. You can chat with or challenge an editorial board member directly. Here are the ground rules: Bring your A-game. Keep your facts straight. Talk about issues, not personalities.
Eddie Roth writes about education, social justice, public safety, transportation, legal affairs and historic preservation. He joined the Post-Dispatch editorial page in 2008 after six years as an editorial writer with the Dayton Daily News. But he is not new to St. Louis. Eddie grew up in Webster Groves and south St. Louis County. He's a lawyer who for many years practiced with a downtown firm, and was active in civic affairs, including serving a term on the St. Louis Police Board. He and his wife, Jeanne, and their three daughters, Emily, Julia and Alice, live in the Shaw Neighborhood.
When it comes to community organizing, he endorses Quentin Crisp's advice: Rather than keeping up with the Joneses, it's better to pull them down to your level.
