Barack Obama stated that the “police acted stupidly” before he even knew the facts of the case. This clearly shows that Obama has a “racist” thought process because he didn’t even consider that the professor might have been at fault for the incident.
Just because the president is “African-American” doesn’t mean he can’t be a racist. He clearly shows bias and a tendancy to default toward the black population when placing blame.

Being in Boston, displaced from my beloved St. Louis, I can share some of the local hooplah surrounding this case…
-Professor Gates’ neighborhood had recently been victimized by break-in artists going door to door, finding unlocked and unattended houses and taking what they could find. Allegedly, Professor Gates’ house itself was broken into very recently.
-The concerned neighbor who called the police to report suspicious activity gave no description of race, color etc. in her initial call to the police.
-The responding officer has been a trainer for other police in how to correctly handle situations and avoid “racial profiling” for around 5 years or so, and he followed the book and was not out of line whatsoever in his handling of the situation.
-Professor Gates was confrontational and refused to cooperate with the officer, and was charged, but the charges were eventually dropped.
-The Cambridge police cheif has been outspoken in his support for the officer, who does not feel he owes anyone an apology.
-Obama, after making a fool of himself by speaking before having the facts and immediately assuming that the policeman’s actions had something to do with race, has invited the two to the whitehouse to “make-up”, and has put this policeman in a position where he cannot refuse.
That all being said, this will be very dissappointing if Gates and Obama do anything less than offer a full public apology to the officer and all police around the country for such ridiculous responses to a man doing his job and putting his life on the line to keep the public safe.
Dont let the Post-disgrace, or any of the other media lap dogs sugar coat the importance of this meeting at the whitehouse…which also happens to be at our expense!

From beginning to…whenever it ultimately ends, this entire story speaks to the stupidity of the media that turns non-stories into ‘national conversations.’

The idea that this story of NO CONSEQUENCE is STILL being discussed two weeks laters is mind-blowing.

The leftist media will NEVER late race die…NEVER. They just want to keep it going and going and going.

Simply pathetic.

This was a no win situation for the cops…they asked for ID and were accused of racial profiling. Yet, had they not asked for ID and had the professor truly been an intruder, the cops would have been dubbed idiots for simply taking the intruder’s word that he was the home’s owner.

Gaucho-”police acted stupidly” would have to include black officers as well, would it not? It is, therefore, not a racially motivated statement.
I might give it to you if he had said the white police officer acted out of a racial bias.

Hey, I had a terrible run in with the cops a while back & I think it was their fault. They were really mean! They insisted it was my fault, saying I insulted them or something - liars! Anyway, they ended up dropping the charges and that was the end of it. But now I am here to make a stink!!! I want to have a beer with the president and discuss the issue with the assO cop that arrested me. Oh, never mind, I’m white, I’m not a friend a Pres, no one really cares about the whole case in the first place and (most of all) I realize that it was actually me being an assO the whole time.

And as for the Pres - what a f’ing moron!! He’s like, “Oops, my bad. Why don’t you guys fly over to my place (taxpayers will foot the bill) and we can all share a beer?” Holy Crap! I didn’t think I would ever say this, but this guy is dumber than Bush. More to come on his foibles…

This cop, who supposedly teaches racial profiling, could not handle this situation any better than he did. I makes you wonder.

One of Crowley’s jobs was to defuse the situation. Am I to believe that a police officer who was not only trained in diversity but who also TAUGHT those classes couldn’t have calmed Gates down? I don’t buy it and the more that comes out about this (the 911 tape for instance) the worse it looks for Crowley. The 911 caller specifically said she’d seen luggage on the porch and that she was unsure but the people breaking in might live there.

Gates was wrong for being so confrontational but Crowley was also wrong for not being able to calm the situation down. Nevertheless, Obama should not have prejudged Crowley before all of the facts were out. Thus, all three were wrong to varying degrees.
