Secretary of Defense Bob Gates.

Bob Gates will stay on in the Obama adminstration as defense secretary, via Politico. That’s big news.

Politico also reports: Retired Marine Gen. James Jones, former Marine commandant and commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Europe, will be named national security adviser, the officials said.

With Hillary Clinton presumed to be heading the State Department, President-elect Barack Obama is rounding out his national security team.

What do you think of these nominations?

So much for President-elect But-I-Did-Stay-in-a-Holiday-Express-Last-Night
setting goofy-leftist military policy.

There’s gonna’ be an awful lot of disappointed leftist-progressives.

Answering a question today at a press conference, Obama called 81 year old Paul (oil-for-food) Volker a “fresh face” in Washington. How’s that for change?

Am I the only one who sees a conflict of interest with Robert Rubin being a Director at Citigroup which is also getting a bailout and he is an Obama economic advisor - or is his advise something positive? Every company getting a a bailout seems to have someone on Obama’s economic team. That scares me, doesn’t that scare you?
