Better than Leno? Obama on “60 Minutes” this weekend
The LA Times has a look at tomorrow night’s episode of CBS’s “60 Minutes” featuring an interview with President Barack Obama taped Friday.
In the interview, Obama says the Bush adminsitration’s approach to fighting terrorism, was wrong. He takes specific aim at Dick Cheney’s philosophy.
The Times reports that Obama said, ‘How many terrorists have actually been brought to justice under the philosophy that is being promoted by Vice President Cheney?” Obama asks. “It hasn’t made us safer. What it has been is a great advertisement for anti-American sentiment.”
In the interview, he also talks about the prison at Guantanamo Bay and about the economy. The Times said the president said that criticism of Timothy Geithner, the Treasury secretary, is natural and expected, considering the shape of the nation’s economy.

How many terrorists have been “brought to justice”? We’re in a war and he wants to sue? I think the list of terrorists who have been killed in battle is quite long. Criticism of Geithner is natural because of the shape of the economy? How about because he didn’t pay his taxes? Or, he doesn’t seem to be able to get ot of his own way? He will be known as the Dan Quayle of Treasury Sectretaries, he has the label and he wont shake it. He needs to go as the country has no confidence in him. Obama has a perfectly fine secretary in waiting, Larry Summers. He should give him the job and tell the PC police to go jump.
The military morale under Bush/Cheney was high. Under Obama/Biden it is sinking (See the Web article: Military ‘Uncertain’ About Barack Obama as Commander-in-Chief). This alone keeps us unsafe. Obama’s incorrect philosophy believes that the 120 million radical suicidal Jihadist Muslims around the world (10% of 1.2 billion) would turn into loving compassionate people with a change to Obama’s post-modern relativistic thinking, new age beliefs, & racist Jeremiah Wright liberation theology as well as transferring wealth to them. Gitmo was created to hold some of the worst of the 120 million which protects our soldiers and America. Remember, only a dozen took down the Twin Towers before Cheney’s ‘philisophy’ was in operation. Obama is clearly setting us up for more 9/11’s, an economic collapse, & smaller suicidal attacks like what used to happen in Israel before they built a CEMENT wall around Gaza & the West Bank instead of a fence that can easily be cut or crossed over. Let us say we find a guy who sets a small suitcase nuke in a large city. Under Cheney we waterboard & interrogate to find out where. Under Obama we sing ‘Kum Ba Ya’ and give him a scholarship to one of our universities to find out where. With Obama, the new ‘24′ TV series should have our secret service hugging terrorists & playing scrabble with them to get answers.
He wants to bring back his celebrity status by going on the Leno show. Pity us, this guy runs our country.
…………..I’m Libertarian and didn’t vote for either Obama or McCain, but I do find it kind of humorous to see the current Democrat administration receiving the Jimmy Carter treatment from Dick Cheney.
Isn’t this the show where Obama says about his inept Treasury Secretary,
“Heck of a job, Jimmy!”
He’s communicating with folks of America who have IQ enough to be communicated with….much like FDR, Ronald Reagan and JFK did. Let him be president.

Yes I watched it. He didn’t have his teleprompter. The hardhitting interviewer asked, “Mr. Obama, how many decisions do you make every day.”
Nope, no softball there.
The laughter up-roar [are you punch-drunk] is around 13 or 14 minutes in - (depression this week; last week it was “not as bad as we thought”; last year w/ DJ > 10K it was in the crapper).

And so the dollar is still strong because people are still buying Treasury Bills. They still think that’s the safest investment out there.” ”
I think that “largest, most stable economic … system around” is in the process of being destroyed - in no small part merely by the $trillions that this human is flinging out of our broke treasury. That borrowing is coming from unborn kids - unfortunate enough to have had a lazy / fat / stupid generation line them up for a life of enslavement. If the Chinese are smart, they’d run away from this “investment” as fast as they could - and I think they are starting.
