I honestly don’t understand what the point of this movie is.

In another era, the media wouldn’t even show FDR in a wheelchair, out of respect for the Presidency. Now, it is apparently acceptable to release a movie insulting a sitting President. You’ve come a long way, baby!

I doubt it will do as well as “Redacted.”

I’m not optimistic.
Then again, I can’t imagine that this film could be any worse than the horrific debacle that was “Alexander”. “World Trade Center” was extremely disappointing.
I guess Stone’s aiming low…after a series of flops, what’s a safer bet than making a movie bashing George W. Bush?

Eddie, you must be so excited. A whole movie attacking Bush. Enjoy!

Nick, two things, one Primary Colors ring a bell. That was pretty much mocking a sitting Bill Clinton. Two, are you seriously putting George W. Bush in the same class as FDR?

I’ll bet more people talk it about on blogs than actually go to see it. If it’s like most his movies, it will be instantly forgettable.

Oliver Stone is a joke! His next project is for Tom Cruise and centers around the so called My Lai massacre. He is a revisionist who doesn’t tell the truth.

I’m disappointed Adam Sandler didn’t get the lead role.
The Platform is where you can take a stand on any issue. You can agree with or fire back at Post-Dispatch opinions. You can chat with or challenge an editorial board member directly. Here are the ground rules: Bring your A-game. Keep your facts straight. Talk about issues, not personalities.
Eddie Roth writes about education, social justice, public safety, transportation, legal affairs and historic preservation. He joined the Post-Dispatch editorial page in 2008 after six years as an editorial writer with the Dayton Daily News. But he is not new to St. Louis. Eddie grew up in Webster Groves and south St. Louis County. He's a lawyer who for many years practiced with a downtown firm, and was active in civic affairs, including serving a term on the St. Louis Police Board. He and his wife, Jeanne, and their three daughters, Emily, Julia and Alice, live in the Shaw Neighborhood.
When it comes to community organizing, he endorses Quentin Crisp's advice: Rather than keeping up with the Joneses, it's better to pull them down to your level.
