Join the editorial page staff tonight, right here, as we — and all interested readers — live blog the second debate between presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama.

The candidates evidently entered into the a lengthy memorandum of understanding on the details of tonight’s debate, which will be moderated by NBC’s Tom Brokaw and will be in a “town hall” format, in which individual voters from the audience will be permitted to pose questions to the candidates.

Some reports suggested that the candidates agreed that they would not be subjected to follow-up questions, but now comes a report that Tom Brokaw did not agree to any such restriction and that the candidates are prepared to take follow up questions from him.

I’m an Obama supporter, but his law professor roots are showing. He’s lecturing too much (and turning his back and walking away as soon as he finishes does not help). McCain is clearly comfortable in this format. His only real problem is the substance of what he is saying.

My comment, This has nothing to do with Obama being African American, and nothing to do with peaceful Muslims. But when is every one going to wake up? Here is what has happened in Africa, What will the Senator say on behalf of this? Please take alook at this.

Senator Obama is not strong on Foreign Affairs. He wants us to bail out in defeat. If we that, we will see the likes of 911. Make no mistake, the taliban is waiting for us to pull out. They would love to see Obama win, they most likely have registered voters ready to vote on this election.
