Ty Phillips of East St. Louis stays with Tigers

Ty Phillips, the 6-3, 255-pound lineman from East St. Louis, stuck with his commitment to Missouri this morning.

There had been rumblings he could switch to Illinois but he stayed with Missouri.

East St. Louis WR Hawthorne impresses in all-star game

The first pass thrown toward Terry Hawthorne in Sunday night’s Under Armour All-American Game fell short of the East St. Louis wide receiver in the end zone. But Hawthorne would get more opportunities.
