Former Missouri running back Tony Temple did not make the Cleveland Browns roster after last weekend’s tryout. The Browns kept just seven of the 54 players brought to last weekend’s camp, and only one of those was a running back.
But Temple didn’t stay on the market long. The Buffalo Bills invited him to their rookie camp for another tryout later this month.
As for Missouri’s other campers…
Martin Rucker and Darnell Terrell made it through the first cuts will attend Browns mini camp in June. Offensive lineman Tyler Luellen and receiver Greg Bracey will head back to San Diego later this month.
The only player no one seemed to know much about was safety Pig Brown. Brown was trying out with the Kansas City Chiefs this past weekend, and coach Herm Edwards had remarked about putting him on the PUP list should he be signed to a contract.
Defensive lineman Lorenzo Williams heads to rookie camp with the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. Williams said he is the only defensive lineman the Ravens picked up through free agency. Center Adam Spieker also will attend his first rookie camp this weekend with the Oakland Raiders.
