Tigers select captains

Chase Daniel has been to New York for the Heisman Trophy presentation. He was a second-team Associated Press All-American and the Big 12 offensive player of the year last season.
But the Missouri quarterback seemed completely sincere when he said Monday that being selected as one of the Tigers’ four team captains for 2008 was among the “great honors I’ve had in my life.”
“It’s coming straight from your team, saying they believe in you and want you to lead this team,” he said.
Daniel will share that duty with fellow seniors Ziggy Hood, Tommy Saunders and William Moore. The team captains were selected by the Missouri players before the team’s first practice of training camp.
