The Tigers moved to fifth in both the major polls after they dispatched of Nevada and Ohio State lost to Southern Cal.

Both the Associated Press and USA Today polls have the same top five:

1. Southern Cal; 2. Oklahoma; 3. Georgia; 4. Florida; and 5. Missouri.

It will be mid-October before the BCS standings come out, combining the polls and computer rankings.
