Speculation from Seattle on Pinkel and Washington job
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
The Seattle Times has Pinkel on the top of its list of possible replacements for Ty Willingham at Washington along with former Falcons coach Jim Mora but acknowledges it may be difficult to get either although the school may pay up to $2 million per year.
The Seattle Post-Intelligencer also has Pinkel among the top names.
Pinkel didn’t want to talk about the job at the team’s weekly press conference Monday in Columbia and instead said he wanted to focus on this week’s opponent, Baylor.
MU offensive coordinator, Dave Christensen, also declined comment. Christensen played at Washington under Don James, the legendary Huskies coach.
Mora coached the Atlanta Falcons, not the 49ers…
Mora was an assistant at SF.
Pinkel’s bags are packed. And DC will be going along.
Pinkel’s bags are staying in Columbia, although I am sure some Mizzou haters would like to hope otherwise. Why leave a hot program that is on the rise? Besides, MU has better facilities, and will pay more money. Case closed.
GP has said in the past he is not interested in another rebuilding job. I smell a raise in the near future for him and this to be his final head coaching job.
Pinkel’s going no where, but if he did pull a surprise and leave DC would not follow. DC would become Mizzou’s head coach.
