Texas’ 49-9 win over Texas A&M Thursday night means it may take until Sunday night before knowing which team the Tigers will play in the Big 12 title game.

If Texas, Oklahoma and Texas Tech finish tied for the Big 12 South title, theĀ  BCS rankings will be used to determine the South representative in Kansas City for the Dec. 6 game.

The next step will come at 2:30 p.m. Saturday when Tech hosts Baylor. If Baylor were to upset Tech, then Texas would be the representative no matter what happens in the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State game.

If Tech wins, then it goes to the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State game in Stillwater with a 7 p.m. kickoff. If the Cowboys pull the upset, then Tech would face Missouri. If the Sooners win, then it will come down to the BCS standings.

The question will be if Texas swayed enough voters and computer points to stay ahead of the Sooners in the BCS.

Texas beat Missouri in Austin this season. Oklahoma defeated Missouri twice last year.

Better hope it isn’t the LOWLY Kansas Jay Hawks. Where all all the bloggers for the mighty MO???? Last time I checked this site all I read was, ” The National Championship is ours!” I guess it should have been you had the easiets schedule in the big 12 and STILL could not win. But, I guess that’s why they call you Misery!
