Gator Bowl has Nebraska on its list ahead of Missouri

Reading the reports out of Lincoln after Nebraska’s win over Colorado make it sound as if the Gator Bowl is leaning toward using its Big 12 pick to go for the Cornhuskers. The Omaha World Herald makes it sound more definite.

If that turns out to be the case, then the Tigers options (other than the Fiesta by winning the Big 12 title game) would be the Holiday in San Diego or Alamo in San Antonio.

Hard to tell how much to read into the Holiday Bowl’s decision this week to send a representative to the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State game instead of the Missouri-Kansas game. A Holiday Bowl official last week told the Post-Dispatch the bowl looks at rankings, records and head-to-head and tries to be fair in picking its team.

The choice would probably come down to Missouri or Oklahoma State.

I think it is becauce if you are ranked 15th in the nation and loose to an unranked team oh like say Kansas, you don’t diserve to be in a bowl game. Way to go Chase. Eat another booger!
