New Mexico, Wyoming looking at Missouri assistant
Reid Laymance
St. Louis Post-Dispatch

The Post-Dispatch’s Vahe Gregorian brings us the following tidbit on coaching vacancies from around the country:

New Mexico and Wyoming are interested in Missouri offensive coordinator Dave Christensen for their head coaching jobs.

Toledo, MU coach Gary Pinkel’s former employer,  is showing the same curiosity about defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, a former Rocket player and assistant.

It has been quiet on the University of Washington search front although the school recently named its search committee and is expecting a recommendation from them by the first week of December.

Pinkel had been mentioned as a possible candidate there because of his ties with former Washington coach Don James. Pinkel has preferred to decline comment on the situation to focus on the season with Missouri.

Don’t be surprised if Missouri announces that it has worked out a richer, longer contract with Pinkel.
