The Tigers keep inching their way back to the top 10 as they moved up in both the major polls today.

In the AP poll, which has no bearing on the BCS formula but is still the main barometer, the Tigers went from 13th to 12th as TCU fell behind them from No. 11.

In the USA today poll, done by coaches and part of the BCS formula, the Tigers went up two spots to No. 11 as they passed both TCU and Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State, which had beaten MU in Columbia, took a big fall after its loss to Texas Tech.

A look at the top 10s:

AP: 1. Alabama, 2. Texas Tech, 3. Florida, 4. Texas, 5. Oklahoma, 6. Southern Cal, 7. Penn State, 8. Utah, 9. Boise State, 10. Ohio State. (Oklahoma State is 11th, then MU at 12.)

USA Today: 1. Alabama, 2. Texas Tech, 3. Florida, 4. Oklahoma, 5. Texas, 6. Southern Cal, 7. Utah, 8. Penn State, 9. Boise State, 10. Ohio State.
