A defensive stand of sorts kept Northwestern out of the end zone and held the Wildcats to a field goal with 9:11 left in the second.
Northwestern had answered Missouri’s first score with a 12-plays, 72-yard drive. But after a Missouri interference call on third down at the 13, the Tigers overcame it to hold Northwestern to a field goal. Even when an offsides call on third-and-goal from the 6 gave Northwestern another chance.
Tyrell Sutton looks to be the real deal for Northwestern.
