On Missouri offense vs. Texas Tech’s: The fact that they are spread out, some screens but a different offense than Tech. I think familiarity from last year playing them twice and year before that kind of thing have a good feel for them. Have some wrinkles and change what you do.

On quarterbacks in league and offensive numbers: Don’t know you could imagine all of it. Been pretty incredible. I still look at the North and the way they’ve played. Chase Daniel, one of Heisman finalists. A great player. Hard to have anticipated this.

On OU’s offense and its scoring: It’s just been the efficiency. All begins with Sam (Bradford). Have confidence with to throw any time anywhere. Offensive line has been major part in ability to run and protect. Done a great job. Our tight ends, full backs involved in protection and have been excellent in doing both. Skill guys spread out and doing a great job. You spread those guys around and the two great backs. Coaches doing a great job using all of them.

Is this your best offense: I would say that. No question the way they’ve played.

On being in Big12 title game seven times: As a program, sure you take pride. You want to show that kind of consistency. We take pride in that we have won five of six. Something you point to and where our goals begin every year.

On assistants when they leave for other jobs, do they stay and juggle: We’ve had both. Each case is different, depending on situation. Around country, we’re all professionals. You can do one thing and put it aside and concentrate on one thing. Possible because of dead period in recruiting (before bowls), can work through it. Some times to hard to work through and you have to move on.

On a tough non-conference schedule: Seems like paid off considerably. Should be incentive (next year we’re going to Miami) should be some incentive to do that. If not be rewarded, heck schedule four softies and almost schedule a bowl game by winning your first four. Challenging your team early helps you develop sooner and get ready for tests coming down the road.

On feelings for Texas: I have empathy for Texas and Texas Tech. Everyone wanted to make this a two-team deal but Tech has same record as us. Sure would be tough, in end, if take Tech out of the mix, only reason you do that is what we did to them and not what Texas did.

On Sam Bradford’s injury: I don’t know that it will be tougher, awful painful the other day and having it happen during game only able to tape and support it. We’ll have a better support structure now that we can get ready. Hopefully it won’t bother him like it did the other night. Hadn’t dropped a snap in two years then dropped two the other night. The guys’ incredible and just has poise. Look at his third down throws.

We need to get in there and slap Bradfords hand all night. Don’t worry about the sack - go after the ball and the hands that hold the ball!

Slapping hands is resorting to acting like kids - its called football, not handslapping! And to purposely try to hurt someone with an injury to give yourself an advantage is kind of on the sadistic side, isn’t it? A win should come because you are the better team and played that way, not because you hurt an injured person causing them more pain and injury. That shows desperation in my mind.
I will cheer on my Sooners and hope they play with honor, not with a plan to come in and hurt Chase Daniels. Go OU!
