The Post-Dispatch’s Kathleen Nelson gives the following update on the status of forward Leo Lyons:

Coach Mike Anderson suggested that Lyons might come off the bench again Wednesday against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Stillwater.

When asked whether Keith Ramsey was likely to start Wednesday, Anderson said, “We’ll see what takes place in practice. As of now, he probably will.

Ramsey has started the last two games in place of Lyons, who was suspended for a game after his arrest for failure to pay a traffic ticket. Lyons came off the bench Saturday, scoring 12 points in a victory over Iowa State, but was unavailable for comment again Monday.

That’s probably a very good idea. LL (Lex Luther) has incredible skills, but doesn’t always bring it. Perhaps starting the game on the pines will cause him to focus on going 100% when his PT comes. (Or he could sink into self pity, who knows (Lois Lane).
