A few updates on some of the high school football players in Texas that have Missouri on their list as we head into the final four weeks of recruiting:

As a huge Mizzou fan down here in Big D, it saddens me to report that Mizzou is a distant 3rd in recruiting Texas football talent in the Big 12 North behind Nebraska and Kansas this year. While I cannot for any reason understand why anyone would ever want to attend Kansas, what is the attraction of Nebraska? Ever been to Lincoln? Ever been there in the winter?
Nebraska has 9 Texas recruits and 3 of those are 4-star recruits including the Dallas-Ft.Worth area player of the year. Kansas has 10 recruits as well with 1 4-star recruit. Mizzou has 3 from Texas and one of those is a 2-star recruit.
Mizzou best hope Richardson keeps his commitment and Ronnie Wingo signs on to deliver a top 25 class. The talent of this recruiting class has to come from somewhere else this year.
Hmmm…notice that none of these potential recruits are DEFENSIVE players. I love offense, but when will MO ever man-up on the other side of the ball?
Now that Mizzou has made it into the national spotlight. Top rankings, all american recruits, and a coach with a long term contract. I hope the best players in Mizzou continue to stay home now and forever. It’s taken the early part of the 21st century for this to happen. Let’s keep it going and build a dynasty!!!!!!!!!
Why is it so difficult to get Mizzou information? I can learn more about Mizzou recruiting from news sources than this web site?! What is the probable status of recruits? Who are the targets, how do they measure up; strengths/weaknesses? Why do we seem behind so many competitors? What is the depth chart and why is one person rated ahead of another? Coach P, can you find anyone who cares about your program?
Attraction to Nebraska? Are you kidding? Try 5 national championships! One of the winningest programs EVER! How does Mizzou compare? How many national titles? How many conference titles? Good grief! If Mizzou can’t win championships with the talent of the last few years, when will they EVER do it? Match that the sudden adoration of a coach most wanted to get rid of a few years ago and there is no reason to think Mizzou ever succeed as more than an occasional hiccup. Try to win a title before talking about a DYNASTY?
