Texas high school players commit to Tigers
Missouri had a good weekend in its recruiting of players from Texas.
Kendial Lawrence, a 5-9, 177-pound running back from Rockwall-Heath, picked the Tigers over Arizona, Houston and Iowa State.
Tavon Bolden, a 6-2, 200-pound defensive back from Aldine in the Houston area, took Missouri ahead of Boston College and Western Michigan.
Donavan Bonner, a 6-2, 225-pound defensive back from Lincoln High School in Dallas, has picked the Tigers over Kansas State, Colorado State and UTEP.
Matt White, a 6-0, 170-pound defensive back from Keller in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, went with Mizzou over SMU and TCU.
A few players, who had show interest in Mizzou earlier in the recruiting process, have made decisions to go elsewhere:
Lou Greenwood (running back from Conroe) went to Colorado State.
Cobi Hamilton, a receiver from Texarkana, has added a visit to Texas and Arkansas appears to be the front-runner.
Skylar Scott, a receiver from Lancaster, went to Baylor.
