A sub-plot for Missouri-Texas baseball today

If Missouri beats the Longhorns in the Big 12 baseball title game today, it will be the Tigers’ fourth conference championship this season, the most in the league.

Texas also has three this school year, so if the Longhorns win, they get four.

Big 12 titles this year (based on the conference’s post-season tournaments):

Missouri: 3 (women’s soccer, men’s basketball, softball)

Texas: 3 (women’s swimming, men’s swimming, men’s indoor track)

Baylor: 3 (women’s basketball, men’s tennis, women’s tennis)

Oklahoma State: 3 (men’s cross country, women’s golf, men’s golf)

Oklahoma: 2 (football, gymnastics)

Texas A&M: 2 (women’s indoor track, women’s outdoor track)

Nebraska: 2 (wrestling, men’s outdoor track)

Texas Tech: 1 (women’s cross country)

Iowa State: 1 (wrestling)

(Note: Nebraska and Iowa State tied for the conference wrestling title.)
