MU baseball pitching plans for today
Missouri baseball coach Tim Jamieson and his pitching plans for today’s game against Western Kentucky:
“I guess it will be (Ian) Berger in the first game with everyone available except for Kyle. If we don’t use Berger in the first game, we will probably use Scooter (Hicks) or Johnny Wholestaff or some combination of that.”
The Tigers pitched Kyle Gibson on Saturday to stay alive in the regional with the win over Monmouth:
Jamieson on his decision to pitch Gibson: “It was a combination. I came out and watched the Monmouth-Ole Miss game, and I thought Monmouth battled. They also threw their best pitcher today. It was a combination of needing someone to go deep in the game to save the bullpen and also the fact that we haven’t been scoring runs. That made it very clear as to what I needed to do.”
