Big 12 day 2: More MU schedule talk
Mike Gundy of Oklahoma State and Bo Pelini of Nebraska were talking a lot on Monday about non-conference scheduling. A closer look at how those school’s non-Big 12 games compare with Missouri’s for this year:
Missouri:Illinois (5-7), Bowling Green (6-6), Furman (7-5), Nevada (7-6).
Oklahoma State: Georgia (10-3), Rice (10-3), Houston (8-5), Grambling (11-2).
Nebraska: Virginia Tech (10-3), Florida Atlantic (7-6), Arkansas State (6-6) and Louisana-Lafayette (6-6).
Furman and Grambling are both from the Football Championship Sub-Division, formerly known as 1-AA.
Missouri’s future non-conference opponents:
2010: Illinois, McNeese State, Miami (Ohio) plus one TBA.
2011: Western Illinois plus three TBA.
2012: Southern Illinois, Miami (Ohio) plusĀ two TBA.
2013 and 2014: Toldedo, Indiana plus two TBA.
