Missouri’s rally to beat Bowling Green helped the Tigers get the 25th spot in the USA Today Coaches’ poll this week but it wasn’t enough to keep them in the AP poll.

Missouri fell out of the writers’ poll, being replaced by Michigan at No. 25. Missouri was the next team in line for the top 25 of those receiving votes.

The Tigers are at home this week against Furman, of the Football Championship Sub-Division (formerly known as 1-AA).

When will Mizzou fans not be content with mediocrity? There needs to be a desire to have so much more than a win over Bowling Green. This conference will never be able to compete with the SEC.

With Colorado’s loss to Toledo, and Mich. St.’s loss to Central Mich., I would say the MAC served notice that they can play with anybody. With as young as a team as we have, I’d say it was a great win.
These are the types of wins that Coach Pinkel’s teams did not win early in his tenure, but now Mizzou does win consistently in these types of games.
Oklahoma St. whipped UGA last week, which is a win head to head against the vaunted SEC.
A win is a win is a win my friend!

Guess the Tigers didn’t beat Furman bad enough to make the AP poll. We need to lose some games like Nebraska to get ranked there. Apparently writers aren’t big readers.
