The Tigers moved up to 21st in the USA Today coaches’ poll after their romp over Furman. They passed Big 12 North rival Nebraska as the Cornhuskers fell to 24th after a loss on the road to Virginia Tech.

Missouri is at Nevada on Friday before a primetime game at home against Nebraska on Oct. 8.

The Tigers are still one spot out of the AP top 25 where they are seven points shy of No. 25 Nebraska.

Here’s a link to the side-by-side polls.

AP rankings will not matter if the Tigers lose to Nevada and/or Nebraska

They shouldn’t even publish polls until everybody has played four or five games. Meaningless right now.

Let’s see how the polls read after Mizzou knocks the Bugeaters down about 12 notches, and the Illini stuff the Horse Chestnuts again in the Horseshoe.
