MU drops third in a row with 41-7 loss to Texas
The Tigers lost 41-7 to Texas on Saturday as Missouri couldn’t slow Colt McCoy nor solve Texas’ defense, save for one drive in the first half.
With its third consecutive loss, Missouri is 0-3 in the Big 12 North for the first time since 2002 when the Tigers finished 2-6.
Missouri, 4-3 overall, is at Colorado next Saturday. Colorado lost to Kansas State one week after upsetting Kansas.
Texas is 7-0 and 4-0 in the Big 12 South and is at Oklahoma State, the only other team unbeaten in Big 12 play.
McCoy finished with 269 yards passing and three touchdowns.
Blaine Gabbert passed for 84 yards on 8-of-16 throwing before being taken out midway through the third quarter after a sack by the Longhorns appeared to shake him up as he was helped off the field.
There was no immediate announcement on his status.
