Texas takes 21-0 lead in first quarter

Mizzou trails Texas 21-0 after the first quarter in Columbia.
The Tigers are behind last year’s “pace” when they didn’t trail the Longhorns, 21-0, until the 11:58 mark of the second quarter.
Texas had 170 yards on 24 plays in the quarter. Mizzou had 19 yards on 10 plays.
Carl Gettis was the victim on Texas’ third scoring drive. He was called for interference on a third-down pass from Colt McCoy to Jordan Shipley, then bit on a play-action and let John Chiles behind him for a 34-yard TD pass from McCoy.
