Maclin is probable for SEMO game
Mizzou coach Gary Pinkel termed receiver-kick returner Jeremy Maclin as probable for Saturday’s game with Southeast Missouri State as one of the team’s star offensive performers had to leave the Illinois game early with an ankle injury.
Maclin, who looked fine walking though the lobby of the athletic training building, said he expected to play and wanted to play. “I’ll be OK,” he said. “I want to play. I’m a competitor. I want to be out there with my teammates. Nobody wants to sit out. At the rate I’m at right now, I think I will be ready to play. I think I’ll play Saturday.”
Maclin said his ankle was “a lot better” than it was Saturday night.
Free safety William Moore sprained his foot and won’t practice Tuesday but was expected to play Saturday. He was in a walking cast, which Pinkel said was a routine treatment.
