The Associated Press football rankings won’t be out until Tuesday this week. It’s a combination of the Labor Day weekend and the Tennessee-UCLA game tonight.
The Tigers are a good bet to stay at No. 6. The five teams above them won by an average score of 51-8. The closest game (at least on the scoreboard) was No. 1 Georgia’s 45-21 win over Georgia Southern.
Texas could move up a notch from No. 11 because of No. 9 Clemson’s loss. If so, the Big 12 would have three teams in the top 10: Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
