Tim Lincecum Is A Goofball
As you probably noticed, National League starting pitcher Tim Lincecum is still a youngster.
And thanks to the excellent Big League Stew blog over at Yahoo! Sports, we also learn that he is still quite young at heart.
He talked about Wang Chung, Choco Tacos, Timmy from “South Park,” his famously long hair and “Family Guy.”
On a serious note, he said he has learned this about life:
“That the unbelievable can happen, that you can be a part of something you never thought you could be a part of. The right amount of doors appear and you put up the right amount of hands to open them, and you can be in a spot where you’re very thankful for what you’ve got.”
Starting the All-Star Game is the career highlight for Lincecum. His previous highlight was a commercial starring himself and Virtual Tim.
His real highlight is the Cy Young he won last year. He can goof all he wants as long as he pitches like that. Just a note also, his body type is the anti-Cardinal pitcher (small frame, strenuous delivery). We wouldn’t draft a pitcher with a frame like his. Instead we have our studs like Ottavino that might not ever make it. Not trying to be critical on such a great day though….

when this season ends, tim lincecum will win his second cy young award, and the giants will be in the post season, taking down them cardinals. and in tonight’s all star game he will become a household name as he strikes out the likes of jeter and company! go tim! go freak!
