As draft winds down, Rams take . . .

Inside linebacker Christopher Chamberlain from Tulsa in the seventh round. A quick check of the relevant draft materials indicate he sort of a linebacker/safety hybrid.

This guy didn’t make a lot of the draft ratings, so fans won’t be happy with him, either.

The Rams have one last pick remaining — the last selection in the draft, Mr. Irrelevant.

Watched him play in his bowl game. Could become an Urlacher type all over the field. I might of taken Jamar Adams or Welsey Woodard for our linebacker needs. Chamberlain had 170 tackles last year, pretty crazy.

i can hear the spin machine starting already on this mediocre draft where the Rams took players higher than they were worth or not even on the boards.

and this is an improvement????

Why is it the Rams think they are smarter than the rest of the league? Do they really think they can spot some diamond in the rough when everyone else can’t? Look at the record.

Sounds interesting. Maybe he can make the move to SS. Worth a gamble.

You would have blasted the Rams for taking me back in the day. Why aren’t you working for an NFL team if you are such draft experts?

This is a good pick in the 7th round. The guy was incredibly productive in college but will probably have to switch to SS in the NFL. If that doesn’t work out shift him back to WLB and enjoy his play on special teams. Got to be better than last year.

Rams had a pretty good draft. They adressed the needed areas. They used the New England approach by trying to get multi-dimentional athletes. Problem with that is that N.E never has any major hole to fill, but the Rams did. I like that each player they drafted was highly productive in college. Contrary to most I think the WR getting picked was a good choice choice because he was the largest play maker of the bunch and has major run after the catch ability.
