Rams select Chris Long

Efforts to trade down failed, so the Rams filled a glaring need by adding energetic defensive end Chris Long.

Comments from Scott Linehan and/or Billy Devaney will follow . . .

Took a solid safe pick… No complaints here…

Would have rather they made a block buster trade… but if rumors are true… they were working for the block buster, and didn’t get it… so Long was the safe alternative.

Chris Long will be an excellent player and an asset to the community. He’s a class act from a class family. He’s an intelligent player and will be a great asset to the team. Good pick!!!

For the Rams needs and the Defense they play Long was the right pick. I think they wished they could have traded down but you have to get good value to trade out of the #2 pick. I think they were getting offers but not good ones. They did the right thing for their D and the scheme they play….with that said I think Dorsey will be a better player overall

Dumb pick glen would have been the pick for me know 1 knew chris b 4 this year he moved up because of his name. The best thing was 2 trade down 2 the 8 spot and pick up suggs. And for all of u think that was a good pick what about that WR that pick should have been jackson out of cal.
