Bears-Rams Second Quarter, Cont: Chicago Leads 24-3

Antonio Pittman got the offense rolling with a couple of nice first-down runs. Then came the inevitable Trent Green-to-Daniel Fells pass for 26 yards.

(Yes, that was Fells’ first career reception. The Bears had nothing on tape on him. Rams offensive coordinator Al Saunders is a very tricky man.)

Jacob Bell’s holding penalty stalled the momentum, though, so the Rams had to settle for Josh Brown’s 43-yard field goal.

That cut the Bears lead to 18, 21-3. The momentum shift was not seismic, however.

The Bears moved back down the field, with the Other Adrian Peterson pounding on the ground and Kyle Orton working up top to Devin Hester and others.

Robbie Gould’s 43-yard field goal pushed Chicago’s advantage to 24-3.

In the final Rams offensive sequence of the half, Trent Green fired three incomplete passes in a row, After that sequence, the Rams had a grand total of 63 yards total offense.

Nice effort, guys.

Maybe we can stop hearing about how Green needs to be in there. He’s got no arm left and this oline is so bad nobody could survive back there. They need to clean house in the offseason. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to come here, though, no matter how much they’re paying. This disOrganization is totally inept.

Maybe we can report both Bulger and Green as hurt for the second both suffering from badly sprained IQs from too many blows to the head and helmets to the solar plexes.

Then we could bring in Brock Berlin as the 3rd qb! I r3emember watching Berlin go 8-8 in some preseason game against somebodies scrubs! We’ll definitely be seeing Chicago’s scrubs in the seonc half!

So go with Berlin! Brock’s our man! If he can’t do it no one can!

Free Brock Berlin!!!

The last time I was home on Sunday was when the Rams battled New England. Since then I’ve only gotten to read of their lousy showing. Today I’m finally in front of a TV again. I have no idea why they play such lousy football, but three things I’ve noticed today–has this been the story? 1) a defense that cannot tackle, 2)defensive backs giving receivers plenty of room to catch the ball, and 3) an offensive line that cannot block.

I refuse to believe the Lions are as fundamentally bad as the Rams.

I hope all the Bulger defenders finally understand that this $63mil puppy is no QB…!!!! I’d like to know who’s decision it was to pay a puppy with absolutely no leadership skills, no ability to improvise, no fire in his belly and most of all, never has completed a 16 game season…!!!!! What a weak looser…. If he has any balls… he would brush off a mild hit… and get back on his horse to lead the team… but since he’s been pampered by the Rams brain trust… he need not have to be tough…!!! Bulger should leave the team today…. That would at least show some self pride…!!!

As a 30yr ram fan I want to know why the top leaders are still in charge save the new owner…!!!! like the auto industry and Bush admin. WE NEED CHANGE…!!!!
