Bears-Rams Third Quarter: Bears Push Lead To 27-3
The Rams got off to a rousing start in the second half, as Antonio Pittman lost five yards on his first carry. The Rams scrounged up a first down, but celebrated with a false-start penalty on Adam Goldberg . . . and pretty soon the home team had to punt again.
But the Rams defense actually responded with a stop, with defensive end James Hall finishing the Bears possession with a third-down sack.
On their next possession, Green opened by taking a eight-yard sack. He bounced back with a 22-yard completion to Dane Looker . . . . and then threw an interception when his next pass was tipped into the air.
Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher was there to field the loose ball and return it 1 yards. So the game took still another negative turn against the Rams.
Chicago turned that turnover into another Robbie Gould field goal and a 27-3 lead.
After actually completing a 38-yard pass to Torry Holt, who actually got a little separation, Trent Green tried to go over the top to Donnie Avery.
Charles Tillman had terrific coverage, though, and he picked off Green’s bomb on the Chicago 6.
All those fans who begged Jim Haslett to start Trent Green are reconsidering their plea.

Man - the Bears offense must be really bad. Only 24 first half points against these so called Rams?
go rams all the way to the tank
And another Ram drive ends with Green throwing his third interception at the Chicago 14 yard line. These guys are giving SOSAR a good name!
Why not change the name of the team to the St. Louis Keystone Kops? We could try to get Keystone Beer to spring for a new 10,000 fan stadium they might actually be able to fill with visiting team ticket purchases after this pathetic season.
