Dolphins-Rams Third Quarter: Jets Extend Lead

The Rams defense opened the second half with a nice three-and-out defensive stop.

Then the offense got off to a good start, with Steven Jackson and Antonio Pittman carrying the Rams into Miami territory.

But the Rams quickly stalled, in part because they tried to involve Joe Klopfenstein in the passing game. Why? Seriously, what good could come from this?

The Dolphins finally got the party re-started with a 38-yard pass from Chad Pennington to Davone Bess. That big strike moved Miami to the Rams’ side of the field and allowed them to get back into its ground game.
(The Dolphins even got into their “Wildcat” formation – but the Rams were more than ready for it. The direct snaps to running back Ronnie Brown fooled nobody.)

Dan Carpenter hammered a 47-yard field goal, pushing the Dolphins lead to 13-9.

is bulger playing as bad as his stats? Is he just such a mess that even making him a serviceable qb may be too large a task for anyone, let alone the Rams staff?

What do you know, just when I thought Bulger was looking OK he throws a terrible pick.
