Fourth Quarter: New York Jets Pile It On

Surprisingly, the New York Jets left Brett Favre play into the fourth quarter. And he marched the Jets to another score after Trent Green threw his goal-line interception.

Thomas Jones scored another touchdown by carrying St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Adam Carriker into the end zone. This, by the way, has not been Carriker’s best game ever.

Now the Jets were up 47-3.

If you have Jones on your fantasy team, you like his numbers: 23 rushes, 149 yards and three touchdowns. Not a bad day’s work.

Finally the Jets put Kellen Clemens in to relieve Favre. Brett’s numbers for today: 14-for-19 for 167 yards and a touchdown.

Was anybody else surprised to see the Jets run Thomas Jone of their final possession? What if he had gotten hurt, the way Steven Jackson got hurt during garbage time against Dallas?

Finally, with the Jets up 47-3, New York took a collective knee in the final 2 miniutes.

Ballgame.

So painful.

Think we’ll keep Haslett?

This is possibly the worst I’ve ever watched. I’d rather sit in the dentist’s chair than see another game this year. Just too awful.

you know its not another loss that irritates me
its not even watching Bulger go to his back again’
I am so tired of watching nobodys having a career
day at the expense of this team week after week. Want
to pad your stats play the Rams defense. Geessh
pathetic

When will the Rams realize small, fast D doesn’t work. They get manhandled every week. Teams march up and down field like it’s a scrimmage. I see the Dolphins get bigger, change attitude, and win. These clowns just don’t WANT to tackle. 3 and outs are a miracle.

Linehan has been vindicated. He benched Bulger and was slammed by his coaches and players. I don’t think he was a great coach but there are so many more problems. Who wants this job? It is going to be a number of years of good draft picks and smart trades to turn this around. Did Jackson sitting out pre-season have anything to do with his injury? Certainly didn’t help.
