Rams-49ers Third Quarter, Cont: Josh Brown Has Some Fun
The officials quit paying attention to this mess, which is why the 49ers got away with a blatant pass interference to stall a Ram scoring drive. So St. Louis settled for another Josh Brown field goal, which cut their deficit to 35-6.
Great.
Another cornerback blitz by Craft stopped the next 49ers possession, too. The Rams could have used a few of these plays during the first half, eh?
Because the Rams hadn’t done anything bad for a while, punt returner Dane Looker tried to fumble the ball back to the 49ers, but officials ruled he was down before the fumble.
Bulger moved the Rams again, feeding Donnie Avery and Torry Holt. (Avery caught a break on a 29-yard catch; due to a poor TV replay angle, he might have gotten away with putting his second foot down on the line. Since I have him on my fantasy team, I didn’t mind that.)
The Rams coaching staff got a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty during all this, which was just typical of the day.
As a result, the Rams settled for another Josh Brown field goal that cut San Francisco’s lead to 35-9

OBOY ANOTHER FG WHAT A COME BACK
