With Steven Jackson Out, Marc Bulger Will Feel Heat
Maybe Rams fans will see Steven Jackson again in their lifetime. Maybe not.
In this game, anyway, fill-in running back Antonio Pittman will have a tough time putting Marc Bulger in favorable down-and-distance situations. So Marc will just have to make something happen in this game.
Many fans have been calling for John Greco to get some snaps at center. But a knee injury suffered in practice this week precluded that. He is inactive for this game, along with Jackson, hobbled cornerback Tye Hill, running back Samkon Gado, linebacker Chris Draft, guard Roy Schuening and defensive end Eric Moore.
The 49ers will play without inacrive receivers Arnaz Battle and Josh Morgan. But running back Frank Gore is active and prepared to start.
