49ers-Rams Fourth Quarter, Cont.: Bruce Catches TD Pass For No. 1,000
Shaun Hill had Jason Hill streaking into the end zone late in the fourth quarter, but his throw was late arriving and Ron Bartell got back to break up the would-be TD pass.
But his completion to Bryant Johnson, good for 15 yards, moved the 49ers to the Rams 14. A couple more completions to Isaac Bruce advanced the ball to the Rams 3.
And then Hill found Bruce one more time — for the 3-yard TD completion and the 1,000th reception in Rev. Ike’s tremendous career.
Congratulations to one of the classiest pros St. Louis has ever seen.
That TD cut the Rams lead to 16-10 and raised the distinct possibility the Rams could still lose this game.

Thanks Bulger. Here we go again. 3 INT and the O cannot get it done. The Rams are in trouble of losing the game on consecutive weeks late in the 4th quarter.
The Rams will somehow find a way to give up a TD in these last two minutes….you can bet the house on it.
What did I tell you. This team cannot close. Pathetic.
A blind man could have seen this coming….
Now just waiting for the mandatory Bulger INT to end this one.
I swear to god–if Marc Bulger is our qb next year, I won’t watch a single game. This guy couldn’t lead a group of kindergarten students to the cafeteria.
the only good thing about these games is that it seals Haslett’s and that inept staff’s future
A minute remaining.
3 time outs left.
40 yard line.
Marc Bulger at the helm.
Loss.
They need about 30 yards for a decent FG attempt…
Yeah…like THAT’s gonna happen
Awesome job, Haslett.
Hit the road, you loser…..and take that pansy QB with you.
Marc Bulger–will you please retire you worthless sack of ineptitude.
