49ers-Rams Second Quarter: Josh Brown Ties Game

A 16-yard pass to Torry Holt got the Rams into scoring range for the first time. But after a poorly executed third-down screen pass to Steven Jackson fell incomplete, the home team settled for Josh Brown’s 43-yard field goal.

That tied the game 3-3.

At this point in the game, the Rams had outgained the 49ers 108-36 but had nothing much to show for it.

The 49ers marched back on the strength of Shaun Hill’s 24-yard scramble. (The Rams, it seemed, were in no hurt to chase him out of ball.

But then O.J. Atogwe stole another football — stripping tight end Vernon Davis after a catch and recovering the fumble himself. This was another classic ball tackle by the Rams safety.

Is this a game that anyone here even cares about? I know Chip and Lucia don’t see the thronging masses of fans as “football people”, but do they really think that John Shaw and Jay Zygmunt are doing them or the team any favors right now???

Haslett or no Haslett, Al Saunders has not shown a flair for scheming to the strengths of his offense, and defensively, they have talent but no coordination. Maybe “scorched-earth” is exactly what this team needs right now.

since the Rams wont step up to the plate to buy and donate the tickets to get the game on tv, it is to bad the local media, radio, newspaper, tv don’t black them out.
