49ers-Rams Third Quarter, Cont.: Bartell Intercepts Hill Again
San Francisco moved the ball, with Shaun Hill hooking up with Bryant Johnson for 21 yards. Finally, the 49ers got back into Rams territory. DeShaun Foster plowed the ball to the Rams 40, but then went nowhere on third-and-2.
The 49ers went for it on fourth-and-2 and converted with Hill’s scramble up the middle.
But then Ron Bartell intercepted still another terrible Hill pass and the 49ers drive ended abruptly.
The Rams moved back downfield with Steven Jackson and Kenneth Darby pounding the ball. Another big completion to Holt moved the Rams into the red zone, then Jackson bulled the ball down to the San Francisco 5.
