Overtime: Jags Win Coin Toss, March Downfield, Win

The exhausted Rams defense had to go right back on the field after the team lost the coin flip for overtime. The bad luck continued when cornerback Ron Bartell and Will Witherspoon were injured on the same play.

Witherspoon’s injury appeared to be serious. He needed a great deal of help to get off the field.

The Rams tried to disrupt the Jaguars drive with a third-down blitz, but David Garrard’s third-down completion to Mike Thomas moved Jacksonville into Rams territory.

That was the killer, The Jags moved into field goal range for Josh Scobee.

His 36-yard field goal was good and that was that.

Anybody that doesn’t see progress with this Rams team and believe in our new coach, knows NOTHING about football. First

The Rams are quite possibly the most injury cursed team I’ve ever seen in my life. The past 3-4 years have been nothing but freaky bad luck on the injury front. Of course, it’s no excuse for the piss poor play, but it’s definitely a factor in our current 16 game losing streak.

And don’t say “well, they came close.” Close only counts in hand grenades and horseshoes. This team has 0 talent and absolutely NO QB! I can’t believe this lot is even MORE pathetic than the Tommy Prothro era!

Ohhhh, so close!!!!! Last week we moved the ball and lost because we couldn’t hold on to it. This week, the other team moves the ball and turns it over and will still lose in OT.

I agree with the comment that this team is sloooowwwwllllly improving. At least we’re losing in unique ways week in and week out.

Hang in there Rams Fans!

Obviously, Big Daddy and Bobby, your hearts are broken. As well as my own. Read Bernie’s latest article about Chip and his intentions with the Rams and why they are in their current condition. You cant make wine out of water alone. Only Jesus made that happen. Tell me this. The #1 gripe with the fans of St. Louis (including myself) against the past few teams was there effort, heart and commitment. There is without a doubt they come everday focused and ready to play NFL football for this Rams coaching staff and organization. Lack of talent and bad drafts ARE NOT CURED OVER NIGHT PEOPLE!!!!!!!!! It’s starting to become a useless gripe. Very positive gains this year. And people wonder why they play better on the road than at home. Does a married man like to come home to a bickering wife? Nuff said.

Rammer,
It sounds like you and I go back to the “good old days.” I have and always will be a Rams fan, but it just kills me to see what this franchise has turned into because of STUPIDITY over the years. Hell, after the Rams lost to New England in the Super Bowl, this franchise has gone into the toliet. I know what Chip is attempting to do and I respect him for that. I also know that Billy and Spags can’t make chiken salad out of chicken sh**! But, BULGER? What the hell happened????
