Patriots superfan Victor Thompson could have purchased a Randy Moss replica jersey to celebrate New England’s return to the Super Bowl.Or he could have pulled somebody’s old hoodie out of a dumpster so he could dress like Bill Belichick.
But no, Thompson wanted to go to the next level. So he is having a tattoo artist replicate a Patriots helmet on his skull. WMUR-TV has been all over this story.
“It just popped into my head that I wanted it to look like Tom Brady’s helmet,” Thompson told the station.
“He’s kind of off the wall,” said House of Tattoo artist Gary Laroche said.
Why do people do such things to themselves? “If you change the way their appearance is, it boosts their ego and makes them feel better,” Laroche said.
Thompson agreed. “I feel awesome,” he said. “I feel like the Pats now.”
(Eventually the Patriots will go back to playing 5-11 football. They all do in the NFL. Then what?)
Elsewhere on the football fanaticism front, Maxim.com is looking for those female Packers fans photographed wearing bikinis in the sub-zero weather in Green Bay Sunday.
“These girls stood by their team in the sexiest way possible, turning the Packer loss into our gain!” Maxim.com noted. “These girls were spotted in the third quarter and now we want to know who they are!
“Do you know them, know someone who knows them? Send me their info and I’ll get you more images.”
If they’re still alive, that is.

Bonus points here for the fact careers were ruined in the process. Herm Edwards as an NFL coach, Jack Black as a serious actor. I’d like my $10 back, please.”
Scott Ostler, San Francisco Chronicle: “Six years ago Goose Gossage couldn’t crack 50 percent of the Hall of Fame vote. This year he got 85.6 percent. Along with his Hall of Fame plaque, Goose should get the award for Most Improved Player.”

Too bad the Blues are slumping…unless the defense improves we may see some defensemen sent packing for offensive help. May I suggest Jackman? Takes too many stupid penalties and is a burden to the payroll.
Also, it seems that Legace has struggled since he was added to the All Star team.
East coast media Super Bowl feeding frenzy has already started (Brady seen in a walking cast). Giants remind me of the 2006 Cardinals…peaking at the right time.
Giants are peaking at the right time, particulary Eli. It will be interesting to see if he can handle the Super Bowl pressure and the pressure next year (which there will be in NY if he wins or loses the Super Bowl).
I think the Pats will win though, and although I don’t like them I have to admit they are a tremendous team, great in all facets of the game. At least they can shut the traps of all those ‘72 Dolphins, who beat a grand total of 4 teams with winning records that season…
As for the Note, I think Legace is hurt but he is playing because we have crap for backups this year. He is sucking it up for the team but it isn’t making a difference. Ten is right on the defense - too inconsistent this year ( so has the offense). Remember the Olympics a few years back when Backman played for his native Sweden? He was incredible and I really thought he was ready to be something special. So far he hasn’t lived up to squat. Maybe I am being too hard on the guy. His last 6 games have had good +/- except for the -2 against Chicago, but I think if anyone needs to go it is him.
Scott Ostler’s quote is pretty good. Even Tony Kornheiser admitted on PTI a couple of weeks back that Gossage would not have got in if he hadn’t played for the Yankees.
Kudo’s to Albert. We need to make these sensation-seeking news organizations pay for their sloppy, unsubstantiated, attempts at getting headlines. What that station did to Albert was criminal, in my book. But I shouldn’t be surprised. News organizations have come from ridiculing the ‘National Enquirer’ type reporting, to emulating it. I don’t care if Albert Pujols, Tom Brady, or Britany Spears is the focus of the false reporting, they need to be accountable.

As long as the Refs allow the Patriots to hold (Brusci on Gates in the red zone, receivers on ourside run plays, O-line on any play where Brday has more than 3 seconds to throw), trip (Vrabels’ leg whip on Rivers) and of source Rams fans favorite, hitting downed receivers on the ground as well as the other rough play, they will never loose another game.

Kudo’s to Albert. We need to make these sensation-seeking news organizations pay for their sloppy, unsubstantiated, attempts at getting headlines. What that station did to Albert was criminal, in my book. But I shouldn’t be surprised. News organizations have come from ridiculing the ‘National Enquirer’ type reporting, to emulating it. I don’t care if Albert Pujols, Tom Brady, or Britany Spears is the focus of the false reporting, they need to be accountable.

If Pujols wants to blame someone for his rep being tarnished, he should try MLB, the players association, is fellow players, his manager, and himself. He had an opportunity to help the Mitchell investigation like every other ball player and he chose not to. He is a steroid cheat like all the other players until he proves he is not.

As long as the Refs allow the Patriots to hold (Brusci on Gates in the red zone, receivers on ourside run plays, O-line on any play where Brday has more than 3 seconds to throw), trip (Vrabels’ leg whip on Rivers) and of source Rams fans favorite, hitting downed receivers on the ground as well as the other rough play, they will never loose another game.

This is not a court and I am not a jury and Pujols is not on trial. That does not mean I have to suspend logic. Pujols and every other baseball player has a steroid cloud around them for good reason. Baseball equals the WWE until than can prove otherwise.

Part of the problem with Kopy Kat is that the PD uses Lotus Notes for web publishing. Its garbage. The rest of the internent got rid of it 5 years ago. The other problem is the PD IT team wouldn’t know a denial of service attack if they saw one. Notes can’t deal with them and Kopy Kat obviously knows that. Setting a limit is not possible. The PD needs to get off of Notes and use a real publishing application that can prevent this.
Bad mistake by Kopy Kat. Idiot let his email address get published. DJAxeom@racist.com.
Doubt it’s a real email address, but we’ll see when everyone here sends about 1000 emails to it.
